How to change the export location in an Enterprise Vault (EV) Compliance Accelerator (CA) Department or Discovery Accelerator (DA) Case.

Solution

Overview:
There are occasions when the Department or Case export location for Enterprise Vault (EV) Compliance Accelerator (CA) or Discovery Accelerator (DA) must be changed. The export location can be changed at the application level or for individual CA departments or DA cases.
Solution:
To change the export location at the CA Department or DA Case level, which will only affect the individual Case or Department where modified:
For CA or DA 6.x, 7.x or 2007.x
1) Access the CA or DA web site using an account with permissions to modify the Department or Case properties, such as the Department or Case owner.
2) Under the Application Administration column,
a) click on Department (for CA) or Case (for DA)
b) click on the Department or Case to be modified
3) Under the Department Administration or Case Administration column,
a) click on the Department (for CA) or Case (for DA) that needs the export path change
b) click on the Department Properties or Case Properties link
4) In the Department or Case properties page, locate the Export Folder field.
5) Change the export folder path, using a locally attached disk in the path or a valid UNC path.  Note that a mapped drive path will not work.
6) click OK at the bottom of the page to save the change.
For CA or DA 8.x or 9.x
1) Launch the CA or DA Client using an account with Department or Case level permissions to modify the Department or Case properties, such as the Department or Case owner.

2) Click on the Departments or Cases tab.

3) Click in the left pane on the Department or Case to be modified to access its properties.

4) Change in the right pane the export folder path, using a locally attached disk in the path or a valid UNC path.  Note that a mapped drive path will not work.

5) Click the Save button to save the change.

Any new exports or Productions created after this change has been saved will use the new export folder path.
