ASL Installation Instructions:

1. At the bottom of this TechFile, click on Download Now to download the ASL package

# mkdir /tmp/EVA_ASL

# cd /tmp/EVA_ASL

2. After downloading VRTSHP-EVA-5.0-asl-HP-UX-11.23PI-v1.1.tar_330586.gz, verify the checksum of the file

# cksum VRTSHP-EVA-5.0-asl-HP-UX-11.23PI-v1.1.tar_330586.gz

3990165423 366645 VRTSHP-EVA-5.0-asl-HP-UX-11.23PI-v1.1.tar_330586.gz

Note: In some cases, it has been reported that the installation of the ASL does not take effect, and vxdctl enable does not claim the enclosure and devices. In such cases, you can execute the vxconfigd -k command in addition to vxdctl enable.

7. After executing vxdctl enable, verify the output of the vxddladm listsupport and vxddladm listversion commands

# vxddladm listsupport libname=libvxhpeva.sl
