Issue

When running the Vault Store Usage Report from the Enterprise Vault Administrator Console (VAC), the URL defaults to a different Enterprise Vault (EV) server in the site.

Solution

The URL for the Vault Store Usage Report defaults to the last ComputerName record in the ComputerEntry table in the EnterpriseVaultDirectory database in SQL instead of defaulting to the EV server from which it was launched.

To run the Vault Store Usage Report for EV8.0:
1. Open the VAC and expand the Enterprise Vault, Directory and Site containers.
2. Right-click Vault Store Groups or the individual vault store names and select Reporting.

To run the Vault Store Usage Report for earlier versions of EV:
1. Open the VAC and expand the Enterprise Vault, Directory and Site containers.
2. Right-click Vault Stores or the individual vault store names and select Vault Store Usage.

WORKAROUND:
Launch the Vault Store Usage Report directly from Internet Explorer (IE) using the URL with the correct EV server name:
http://<localhostname>/enterprisevault/usage.asp

For convenience, the URL may be saved as an IE Favorite or added to the VAC Microsoft Management Console (MMC) as an MMC node with a web address.

NOTE:
EV 7.0 and later versions include an optional Reporting function which includes Vault Store Usage information along with other Operation Reports.  For more information on EV Reporting, please see the Related Documents section below for a link to the appropriate version of the EV Reporting Guide or EV Administrator's Guide.
