Issue

A File System Archiving (FSA) Reporting scan does not start for file servers that are in a different domain from the Enterprise Vault (EV) server

Cause

This issue will be seen if a file server has been configured as an FSA target and is in a different domain from the EV server. When attempting to Run FSA Reporting Scan on that target, it will never show a Reporting Scan Start Time or a Reporting Scan Status.

The following will be seen in a Dtrace of the FSAReportingService process on the EV server.  For more information on Dtrace please refer to TECH38122.

(FSAReportingService) <5280> EV:L CFSAReporting::get_Servers method called |
