UDL Connectivity fails with the following error (Refer related documents section below)        

Microsoft Data Link Error
Login Failed for user '<Domain Name>\<User Name>'. Reason: Server is in single user mode. Only one administrator can connect at this time.


Cause



This error can be caused by various problems with the Backup Exec database including issues with the database itself, SQL permission issues, or Backup Exec configuration problems.  See below for some of the possible causes and their solutions.


Solution



Solution 1:
Restart the SQL Server (BKUPEXEC) service & then start Backup Exec Device & Media service.
 
Solution 2:
Check the credentials of the services and make sure that these credentials have the required privileges and are a Member of: Domain Users, Domain Admins and Backup Operators and have Administrator Privileges.
