Cause



Backup of a virtual machine using the Backup Exec 2010 Agent for VMware Virtual Infrastructure (AVVI) fails with the above mentioned error. This error has been observed with virtual machine that have disks (VMDK)  mounted across multiple datastores. 
 


Solution



 
This issue has been resolved with Hotfix 344584. See the related documents for download information.
