Problem
You downloaded an SH file to install a Symantec AntiVirus Scan Engine product on a RedHat Linux system. You see the error message "command: uudecode: command not found" when you attempt to install the product.
Cause
Operating System being customized.
Solution
This error message indicates that the proper UUDECODE package was not found on the system. This could be due to a customization of the installation or the UUDECODE packages not being installed. Install the UUDECODE packages used by RedHat 7.2 or 7.3.
Installing the NCompress RPM package resolves this problem. This program available for download from various sources. One source is:
