You need to know the reason for the dropped messages and the error: 550 Message contains NULL character(s)"
A version of Symantec SMTP product is installed:
-Symantec Mail Security for SMTP 4.1
-Symantec Mail Security for SMTP 4.0
--Symantec AntiVirus for SMTP Gateways 3.0
This behavior is expected. The Symantec SMTP product blocks messages containing non-printing NULL characters. This is in accordance with RFC 2822, which states that ASCII Nulls are not allowed in email bodies. The design of the SMTP product is to reject messages containing the NULL character. There is no workaround for this.
