Problem
You installed and enabled Symantec AntiVirus/Filtering 3.0 for Microsoft Exchange (AV/F for Exchange) or Symantec Mail Security 4.0 for Microsoft Exchange (SMS for Exchange). The Information Store stops responding and the Application Event Log contains an entry or entries for EventID: 10002 (DCOM) or Event ID: 103 (EXOLEDB).
Solution
To resolve this situation, download and install the rollup found in the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 301378: The September 2003 Exchange 2000 Server Post-Service Pack 3 Rollup.
