You have Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) users who have no passwords in the LDAP environment. Any attempt by these LDAP users results in the display of a denied access message. Symantec Web Security (SWS) is installed.

Symptoms

Solution



SWS is working as designed. In order to authenticate a user against the LDAP server, SWS needs to pass the username and password to the LDAP server. If there is no password, authentication cannot complete.
