Problem
You receive alerts from Symantec Mail Security for SMTP; these alerts indicate that your server has low disk space. The details of this alert message are as follows:
Subject:
Low Disk Space Threshold Exceeded
Body:
The email scanning directory on the server is running dangerously low on disk space
Server: server.domain.com
One of the following Symantec SMTP products is installed:
Symantec Mail Security for SMTP 4.1
Symantec Mail Security 4.0 for SMTP
Symantec AntiVirus for SMTP Gateways 3.0
Symantec AntiSpam for SMTP 3.1
Solution
This alert message is generated when the "Low disk space" alert is enabled and less than 10 percent of disk space is available.
To enable or disable the " Low Disk Space Threshold Exceeded" alert
- Open the Symantec Mail Security for SMTP user interface.
- Click Configuration.
- On the Alerts tab, do one of the following:
- To enable the alert, check Low disk space.
- To disable the alert, uncheck Low disk space.
- Click Save Changes.
