Symptoms

Solution
Symantec Web Security 5.0.4 for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 build 61
Symptom: License status should be 'Not Licensed' after installation.
Solution: Modified code to correct the issue.
Interface: License status appears as 'Not Licensed' after a fresh installation.
Messages: Symantec Web Security (SWS) log file will show status as 'Not Licensed' after a fresh installation.
Symptom: No alerts appear when streaming media is denied.
Solution: Introduced alert when streaming media is denied.
Messages: A new type of alert will appear in ISA Alerts and the event will be logged.
Symptom: Full version is required in SWS backup files.
Resolution: Modified the source code to fix the same.
Interface: On the filter property page, full version will appear.
Symptom: .tmp Files are not being deleted in the inbound directory.
Solution: Added code to release buffers at the end of session, which will delete temporary files.
Symptom: When in Proxy Mode, DDR filtering does not log blocked URL.
Solution: Corrected the source code to log the same.
Messages: Blocked URL will appear in Alerts.
Symptom: DDR blocks URL's in the local / custom Whitelist (allow) in firewall mode and proxy mode.
Solution: Change to code to ensure local URLs in the local / custom whitelist are not blocked by DDR in firewall mode. This fix does not address proxy mode problem.
Symptom: Firewall service can hang when using custom categories and URL lists.
Solution: Modified code to prevent deadlock around list management objects inside the URL scan component
Symantec Web Security 5.0.2 for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 build 56
Symptom: Enhancement request, do not scan files when they match the extension exclusion list
Solution: Files are not scanned if the match the exclusion list. Warning: This is a potential security risk if you use this feature.
Symptom: ISA is not scanning RAR files.
Solution: RAR engine enabled and scans RAR files.

Symptom: Unable to download various images
Solution: Added additional termination character sequence to header terminator list.
Symantec Web Security 5.0.1 for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 build 54
Symptom: Unable to download various images
Solution: Added code to check for additional header termination character sequences and process header.
Symantec Web Security 5.0.1 for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 build 53
Symptom: SWS 5.0 for ISA Server 2004 will not install on German OS with English ISA
Solution: Corrected code to correctly obtain the localized version values for the Security Identifier code for Network Service and Admin Group names.
