Solution
Symantec VPN Client does not support Microsoft Windows Vista.
Symantec has announced an end of life date for the Symantec Gateway Security product line. These products are now in maintainence phase, and new functionality is no longer being added.
The Symantec Gateway Security appliances accept client VPN connections from other vendors IP/SEC compatible client VPN software. It may be possible to use another vendor's IP/SEC client VPN software to connect.
Note: Symantec does not test functionality with VPN clients from other vendors.
