Error in Job Log :

Final error: 0xe0008144 - Physical Volume Library Database - connection has been lost. Check your network connection to the Backup Exec database server.

Solution



1. Automatic updates for Windows / Anti-Virus to be disabled on the media server.
2. Automatic Database Maintenance time for the BEDB database to be changed.
3. Make sure the disk on which B2D is created is not highly fragmented.
4. Latest driver's to be installed for the NIC (for media server and remote machines).
5. Latest Firmware to be installed for SCSI / RAID Controllers.
6. Make sure there are no two job's running on the same device which are starting at exact same time.

NOTE:
If none of the above steps work, then delete the job and the selection list associated to it and re-create it.
