How to uninstall the Backup Exec Infrastructure Manager (BEIM) - (12.5)
Solution
Use the following steps to uninstall the Backup Exec Infrastructure Manager from the Symantec Management Platform. The uninstall program removes the files
and the registry settings that were set up or copied onto the computer's hard disk during installation.
To uninstall Backup Exec Infrastructure Manager
1. On the computer on which
Symantec Management Platform in installed, click
Start > All
Programs > Altiris > Symantec Installation Manager.
2. Select Symantec Backup
Exec Infrastructure Manager.
3. Click
Uninstall.
The Symantec Installation
Manager removes the Backup Exec Infrastructure
Manager from the
computer.
About uninstalling the Symantec Management Platform
The Symantec Management Platform
can be removed by using the Add/Remove
Programs feature in Microsoft
Windows. The un-install program removes
the
files and registry settings.
WARNING : This will remove Altiris notification server.
Remember that the Symantec Management Platform (SIM)...is a platform for other
Symantec Products that integrate with Altiris notifications
server.
