Solution



Issue:
    The following error, "Access is denied to Remote Agent. Check the login account for the specified device," occurs when attempting to backup a NAS device with Backup Exec for Windows Servers

Cause:

    Internet Explorer 8.0 on the media server does not have the address of the NAS device added as a trusted site.

Resolution:
    1) Open "Internet Explorer"
    2) Go to Tools | Internet Options | Security | Trusted Sites | Sites.
    3) Add the IP address and/or the hostname of the NAS that is failing to backup.
