Problem
After installing SMSMSE on Exchange Server 2007 or Exchange Server 2010, Heuristic Detection and Real-time Blacklist (RBL) are no longer available as AntiSpam options.
To view the policies open the SMSMSE Administration Console and perform the following steps:
1. Click the Policies Menu.
2. AntiSpam|Blacklist and Whitelist menu item.
At this point the blacklist options do not appear.
Cause
Heuristic Detection and Real-Time Blackslist is no longer available starting with the 6.0 version. These features are available on Exchange 2000/2003.
Solution
This is expected behavior. Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 have these functions themselves. As such, they are not needed in SMSMSE.
Here is a link to Microsoft documentation on how to configure blacklist providers in Exchange: Configure IP Block List Providers Properties.
