Solution

  1. Add the following parameters in the notes.ini:

NSF_BACKUP_MEMORY_CONSTRAINED=1 (Setting this parameter will limit the NSF BACKUP CONTEXT BLOCK to 20 MB. This is the default value.)
NSF_BACKUP_MEMORY_LIMIT=size (Use this parameter ONLY if the above parameter is insufficient.  It is recommended to set this to 50 MB first, and then 100 MB.)

Please refer to the following Lotus Domino technote for instructions and information:

Title: Server crashes due to low memory condition after backup application runs
    Doc #: 1211241
    URL: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=899&uid=swg21211241
  2. Please update the NSD:

Please refer to the following Lotus Domino technote for instructions and information:

Title: Updated NSD for Domino releases
    Doc #: 4013182
    URL: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24013182

Download the file for 6.5.6FP2 W32, place it in Domino folder, shut down Domino, and run the executable. This will update the nsd.exe only.
