EMC Celerra reports "No virus checker available"

In the web management interface of the EMC Celerra server, you see an error that reports "No virus checker available".

  • In the EMC Management snap-in, under Data Mover management (servername), the status of the Antivirus is "(started)".

  • The Scan Engine or SAV for NAS 5.x is installed on the same machine as the Celerra Anti-Virus Agent (CAVA) 3.6.x


To determine the underlying cause for this symptom, examine the Application Log of the Windows Event Viewer on the machine at the IP address specified in the event.

The Application Log should contain a matching event from a source of CAVA which clarifies why the virus checker is not available.
