Problem
Advanced Open File Option fails to snap a volume on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 if a lowercase drive letter is used to specify the default location of the static volume.
Error
OFO: Snapshot error (0xa000851c): VSP SnapShot CacheFileBroker was unable to allocate cache files. Check disk space.
Solution
To work around this issue, run the Advanced Open File
Option Wizard, remove the location listed with a lowercase drive letter
(Figure 1), and then replace it with the same location using an uppercase drive
letter (Figure 2).

There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. However, the issue is currently scheduled to be addressed in the next major revision of the product.
