The following table describes the minimum system requirements to install the Symantec Protection for SharePoint console and Symantec Scan Engine on the same server:

Note: You can choose to install both components of Symantec Protection for SharePoint Servers together on the same computer or on different computers. The Symantec Protection for SharePoint console and Symantec Scan Engine are supported on both 32-bit and 64-bit computers. For Windows 2008 Server support, you must download and install Symantec Scan Engine 5.2.4 or later.
