Issue

You want to know whether or not a backslash (\) is necessary between the Prefix variable and the folder name when creating a Security Risk Folder Exception.

Symptoms
Example: You want to exclude Program Files\spool by using the [PROGRAM_FILES] prefix variable and you are unsure if you should enter \spool or spool in the Folder dialog box.

Solution

The client will parse the exception correctly whether or not you place the backslash character between the Prefix variable and the Folder name. Thus it is only important that you are internally consistent when making multiple folder exclusions.
