Problem
How to disable dynamic multipathing in VERITAS Volume Manager (tm) for Windows NT
Solution
Dynamic multipathing (DMP) is automatically installed
during the Volume Manager set-up. By default, DMP is disabled. If circumstances
warrant the use of a third-party DMP, such as EMC PowerPath, the VERITAS DMP
drivers will need to be disabled. To do this, perform the
following:
1. Set all
VxDMP devices to disabled by navigating to Control Panel > Devices and
selecting Startup (Figure 1)
Figure 1
2. Select
Disabled for all VERITAS DMP devices (VxDMP, VxDMPCpq, VxDMPHit,
VxDMPNec)
3. Click
OK (Figure 2)

4. Click
Close (Figure 3)
