Symantec Mail Security for Domino crashes Domino during a scan when Domino is running compact

Problem
When Symantec Mail Security for Domino is running a scheduled or manual scan and Domino is running compact, it crashes and creates a NSD and/or SMSpanic file.
Symptoms
Domino crashes.
- SMSPanic.txt file contains:
"SMSDOM Panic: NSFS earch failed in SafeSearch [Notes/Domino ErrNum:5004 (0x138C): Operation cannot be performed at the current time database compaction in progress.]"
Solution
This problem is fixed in Symantec Mail Security 7.5.7 (and newer) for Domino. To download the latest release, read Obtaining an update or an upgrade for a Symantec Corporate product.
If you cannot upgrade to Symantec Mail Security 7.5.7 (and newer) for Domino, avoid running scheduled or manual scans when compact is scheduled to run or running.
