Symantec On-Demand Protection for Web Applications (SODPWA) Forces Browser to Close Before Launching

Problem
A notifcation is received that indicates all web browser windows must be closed when an SODPWA connection is attempted.
Symptoms
When SODPWA is launched, all browser windows are required to be closed before the SODPWA application launches.
Cause
This is by design. if all the browser processes are not closed, some logs and dll's will fail to delete after the SODPWA exit, causing a potential data security breach by leaving residual data behind.
Solution
There is no workaround. This behavior is by design.

The behavior was included in builds 3.1.4 and above.
