Problem



When running Sygate 5x on Windows Vista, you receive the error "Host Integrity check failed. Host Integrity configuration file is corrupted" whenever a Host Integrity (HI) check is run.

Symptoms
"Host Integrity check failed. Host Integrity configuration file is corrupted" error in Sygate log files. Unable to access network.


 


Cause



The Windows Script Host (WSH) is unable to run the HI script. This can be caused by an issue with the WSH registry keys that may be caused by a Microsoft update.


Solution




Warning: Making changes to the Windows registry can have unintended consequences., Backup the windows registry using the regedit tool before proceeding. For more information on backing up the windows registry, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756
 

  • Download the attached.reg file and run it (you must run this with administrator privileges). This .reg file will replace all of the registry settings that affect Windows Script Host.
