NOTE: Symantec does not support backing up configuration data from one version of SWG4.5 and restoring it to a different version, nor restoring a backup on a different appliance.  Backups are hardware and version dependant. Doing either of these may require re-imaging the appliance.


To backup the configuration in the SWG4.5 web interface

1. Log into the web interface
2. On the left pane, under Administration, click Configuration
3. At the top, click the Maintenance tab
4. Click Backup
5. Navigate to the location on your hard drive where you would like to save the backup
6. Click Save

To restore the configuration in the SWG4.5 web interface

1. Log into the web interface
2. On the left pane, under Administration, click Configuration
3. At the top, click the Maintenance tab
4. Beside "Restore Settings from File", click Browse
5. Navigate to the backup file you seek to restore
6. Click Open
7. Click Restore
   
   At this point, the following warning will appear:
   
    
8. To confirm, click OK
