For performance reasons, Symantec recommends the minimum value of "max server memory" option of SQL Server to be based on the number of clients Symantec Protection Center manages.

• For companies with fewer than 100 agents, the "max server memory" value should be at least 64.
• For companies with between 100 and 500 agents, the "max server memory" value should be at least 512.
• For companies with greater than 500 agents, the "max server memory" value should be at least 1024.

If the configured value of SQL Server does not meet this requirement, a warning message will appear when you install, upgrade, or configure Symantec Protection Center.
