You have lost a password to Symantec Endpoint Protection or Symantec AntiVirus, and need to know how to recover.


Solution



The following table contains recovery actions for Symantec Endpoint Protection passwords.

Pass: N/A
None.
If the database encryption password is lost, there is no way to recover except to uninstall and reinstall the product.
SQL "sa" account User: sa
Pass: N/A
Contact Microsoft technical support.
This is a password to the SQL database, which is not a Symantec product.
SQL User: sem5
Pass: N/A
Reset in Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Manager.
Enterprise Protection Manager admin account User: admin
Pass: N/A
