Problem
You are either installing or uninstalling Symantec Desktop Firewall (SDF) or Symantec Client Firewall (SCF) when you see the error message "Error 1324: The [folder path] folder name contains an invalid character."
Solution
This may happen if you have User Profiles enabled and your profile contains a slash (/) character in the name (for example, Sam/Jones) - an indication that your user profile may be corrupted.
Try installing or uninstalling after logging in under a different User Profile, or disable User Profiles altogether.
