Symantec Management Platform 7.0 Administration with Notification Server
Our Symantec Management Platform 7.0 Administration with Notification Server course is the prerequisite to any of our Altiris Client and Server Management Suite 7.0 courses. This class will teach IT Administrators about the Notification Server architecture and infrastructure, as well as how to install, manage, and troubleshoot Notification Server and the Altiris Agents. In addition, students will learn how to create and configure key items in the Symantec Management Console, such as targets and filters. This class will be available as a 5-day instructor-led course with hands-on labs and as a 4-hour web-based training course.
Please note that this class was formerly known as Symantec Notification Server 7.0 Administration, but the course content remains the same.
Altiris Client Management Suite (CMS) 7.0 Core Administration
Our Altiris Client Management Suite 7.0 Administration course focuses on the core components of Client Management Suite: Software Management, Patch Management, and Inventory Solution.
This course will teach IT Administrators how to install, configure, maintain, and use the core solutions in Notification Server.
Students will learn how to use CMS to perform common tasks related to client management. Students will also learn how to use reporting features in CMS to track and monitor their environment, from viewing inventory data to deploying patches and software packages to managed computers. Students will learn how to use core processes including, collecting inventory and delivering software. This class will be available as a 5-day instructor-led course with hands-on labs and as a 4-hour web-based training course.
Altiris Client Management Suite 7.0: Deployment and Imaging
Our Altiris Client Management Suite 7.0: Deployment and Imaging course teaches IT Administrators how to install, configure, and manage systems using Altiris Deployment Solution. Students will learn to use Deployment Solution to simplify the routine tasks of setting up new computers, migrating computers to a new operating system, and moving users to new operating systems or hardware.
In addition, students will learn how to install, configure, and use Deployment Solution to perform these routine tasks remotely from a console. This class will be available as a 5-day instructor-led course with hands on labs.
