Are there any plans on adding Recovery Solution information?  Such as upgrading from RS 6 to 7?

As Lery said, what about Recovery Solution?  Right now I'm considering that to be my biggest hurdle in migrating to NS7 (well that and not having a released version of Local Security Solution 7!).  The trick of course (as I understand it) is that you will need to upgrade/migrate the NS to 7, then install RS 7, migrate your RS6 clusters to the NS7 environment, upgrade all the RS 6 servers to RS7, then upgrade all the clients to RS7.  We have a very distributed environment with ~6000 clients all over the US backing up to 17 RS single-node clusters in our data center.  The logistics of it give me a headache just thinking about it!

From what I've seen, an RS client with a "broken" Altiris Agent will continue taking snapshots against the  RS server with the configuration it had at last configuration...but I also understand that this is not a supported configuration (I'm thinking about the period of time when the NS Agent has been upgraded to NS7 agent, but RS has not).  I suppose it will be down to a bunch of testing on my part, but some sort of official documentation around this would be VERY helpful.

Whenever I try to see CMS7 Product Tour (Flash Video) it takes me to Altiris License Portal.

Can you update the KBs to the new symantec support pages?

Thanks a lot. I think this is a very important and usefull source of information regarding Altiris and the new Symantec Management Platform.

I need to know what must we to decide when moving from Altiris 6.x Recovery Solution to Symantec Management Platform. As I know, Recovery Solution is no longer exists, but now we have Backup Exec System Recovery Solution. BESR-s offers me more than Recovery Solution, but Recovery Solution offers me the capacity to backup/restore the files that are important to my Organization.

Must I consider BESR-s as the sucessor of Recovery Solution?

Finally, some of you know if there are any resource (pdf, web site, kb, etc.) that shows the path of migration (product level) from every one of the Altiris 6.x solutions to Symantec Management Platform? (Maybe this question must be a thread by itself)
I.e.: Carbon Copy (now is) PC AnyWhere
 

BESR is great for severs but I am concered on the client side. The lack of BESR's ability to resume a backup job will prevent many clients from being backed up. I have a client with 128gb of storage and BESR almost never finishes creating a recover point.

I can't get the pcAnywhere Advanced Configuration Guide using the link listed. Where can I get it ?

Need it to get the Access Server working with Altiris (as opposed to the standalone pcA console).

So, when is 7.1 being released? Also, most of this documentation is for 7.0 - not much use for 7.1.

Please fix this list of links. Most are still pointing to the wrong system!

When I search for info on 7.1 I get this because it says that it has 7.1 info. I have yet to see any useful info.

We are waiting to install 7.1, because we have had tons of issues with 7.0 CMS.  Are there any official requirements anyone can share?
