Cause

When we trying to install Altiris client through Altiris console .we have received error “Failed to copy Symantec agent services in targeted machine. Basically problem cause some DNS problem or RPC service is not gives proper response. After we have installed manually Altiris client.

 Solution:

I have using Psexec.exe tool and successfully remotely install Altiris client.

 Note: kindly copy PsExec.exe freeware tool download for http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897553 and for copy c:\windows\system32\.

Process.

Step 1. Download PsExec.exe tool for http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897553 and copy c:\ or c:\windows\system32\.

Step 2. Download Altiris client AeXNSC.exe and copy target machine c: drive.

Step 3.Open Command Prompt. Start -> Run -> CMD

Step 4. Type command -> C:\>psexec.exe \\Computername  cmd.exe -u administrator -p pass@123

Step 5.Now you have connected remote computer .

Step 6.Type CD..

Step 7. Type command AeXNSC.exe /install /ns=jay.xyz.com   ß Altiris Server name.

Step 8. Wait some type after systems are reflecting in Altiris Console.
