Problem: You receive this error message after installing Symantec Endpoint Protection when the computer reboots.
Error: Error: "File Version Mismatch - cannot load ProtectionUtilRes.dll"
Environment: You receive this error message after installing Symantec Endpoint Protection when the computer reboots.
Solution
1. Un-install Symantec Endpoint Protection from Add/Remove programs.
2. Delete the Symantec Endpoint Protection folder.
3. C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection
4. Restart the computer.
5. Re-install Symantec Endpoint Protection.

This means some files are currupted which cause of this error?

thanks for share the usefull document.. I have one problem related the same issue. Problem is that when I try to install the SEP in Client System. In the half processing it stop. No error msg display.. No other process run there. Is any solution regard that issue..
