This article focuses on using Dell developed client systems management tools within the Symantec Client Management Suite to enable better management of Dell hardware in a Windows Operating System environment. Specifically, step-by-step instructions and sample materials are provided to integrate the following capabilities:
- Gather inventory of Dell hardware and BIOS
- Gather inventory of Dell warranty information
- Create, deploy and modify Dell BIOS configurations

If anyone is having problems with the vbscript mentioned in the article running on XP machines, please see the attached script. The script has been updated to account for some issues running on XP systems.
