Connection information

This component must connect to the SMP platform to retrieve cost center data.  This is most easily accomplished by using a "Create SMP Credentials" component upstream of the "Get Associated Assets For Asset Component".  The default input values (Global.NotificationServer, Global.NSUsesHTTPS, and Global.NSAuthenticationToken) will then be given the values configured in the Workflow Credentials Manager for the default NS connection.

Additional Configuration
Configuration name Configuration data type Example format
Method Can Return Null Logical (True/False) False

The input value "asset" requires the data type listed in the "Input values" table above.  This data can be obtained by using components upstream such as "Get Resource for SMP" (configured with the Resource Type of "Asset").  The results of this component will be properly structured to present as a valid datatype to the input of the "Get Associated Assets" component.

The "Method Can Return Null" value determines whether a "null" value is an acceptable output of this component.

Use case

Identify a Computer's Peripheral Equipment

Using a workflow process that includes the Get Associated Assets for Asset Component, a user can easily identify any assets (such as a printer or a monitor) that has been associated to a given asset in the SMP platform.
