We generally are installed various programs and tools in our Windows computer. It's always highly recommended and a best practice keep the  software running the latest version.

In this way we avoid any specific security issues and have the most current features available to use. Understanding the version number of your software is the answer to discovering if you need to upgrade your program.

Here some easy steps to discover the browser program version installed in your system.

Browser Procedure
Google Chrome
  • Select the Wrench icon near the top right of the Chrome window
  • Select About Google Chrome
Internet Explorer
  • Open Internet Explorer

  • On the Menu Bar, select Help - About Internet Explorer

Mozilla Firefox
  • Open Mozilla Firefox
  • On the Menu Bar select Help About Mozilla Firefox
  • Open Opera

  • Click the Opera Button Opera Button located at the top-left of the program window

  • On the menu item, select About Opera

  • The version number is located in the new tab
  • Open Safari (OS X)
  • On the Menu Bar select Safari - About Safari
