Ghost Solution Suite 3.1 requires a preboot operating system to perform imaging tasks. Our default preboot operating system is WinPE 10. This tutorial will show you how to import this into Ghost Solution Suite 3.1. Please note that this is for a Ghost Standard Tools installation. If you chose to install the Ghost Console, there are separate instructions for that in a document to follow.
1. Download the Windows 10 ADK (Build 1511). Install as directed. When asked for features to install, these two are the only ones we require:
2. Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Ghost\bootwiz (or to the bootwiz folder in the location you chose to install to, if you chose an alternate install location). Double-click bootwiz.exe.
3. This window will launch. Select "WinPE 10.0 x86". Click the radio button for "Pre-installed WAIK", then browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10. Click Next.
4. It will take a couple minutes to completely import this. After it completes, you will see the following screen. Click Finish.
5. The following pop-up will then appear. Click Cancel.
6. Click Tools > Install Pre-Boot Operating Systems.
7. Select "WinPE 10.0 x64". Click the radio button for "Pre-installed ADK", then browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10. Click Next.
8. After that completes, click Finish. You are done.
