Installation stops popping up a command prompt window containing text (vermin=2 and vermaj=5) while installing Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM)

 To begin with here with why does the installation for Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) stop with a command prompt window. This could happen with any software which might require any of the below mentioned Microsoft Components:
 
  1. Visual Basic® Script Edition (VBScript)
  2. JScript® Version 5.x
  3. Windows Script Components,
  4. Windows Script Host 5.x,
  5. Windows Script Runtime Version 5.x
 
 These components could either be:
  1. on a previous version,
  2. corrupt or
  3. not installed
The exact symptoms of this issue is while you try to install Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) installation stops with a command prompt window which contains vermin=2 and vermaj=5 and if tried to close the command prompt window installation rolls back 
 
To resolve this issue:
 
  1. If facing an issue on Windows Server 2003 then download and install “Windows Script 5.6 for Windows Server 2003” on the system  OR
  2. If facing an issue on Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2000 download and install “Windows Script 5.6 for Windows XP and Windows 2000” on the system
 Note: Reboot the system before you attempt to install Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM)
