1. What are the Prerequisites or Assumptions?

• All the machines [SWC Server, Wyse thin client] should be in the same domain.
• Copy SWC Agent files (Symantecwcaddon.bin & params.ini) to a common FTP storage which can be accessed from Wyse thin Client.

2. How to install the SWC Agent on Wyse Thin Client?

• Login into the Wyse thin client.
• Invoke the control panel from start -> Settings -> Control Panel
• From the Control Panel, Double click on the Add-on icon, the below screen gets displayed.
  

  

• From the Add-on Screen, Click on Add button, the below screen appears
  

  

• Enter the local FTP Server Name(mentioned in the prerequisites) and Server Directory and use default User ID and password and Click on Upgrade, the following screen gets displayed.
  

  

• Click on start to complete the installation.
• Now the focus should be back on the Add-on screen
• Click on OK in the Add-on screen, it prompts for Restart
  

  

• Click on Restart button to restart the Wyse thin client.
• Again restart the Wyse thin Client to trigger the installer wizard screen.
• After the restart, the License Agreement wizard appears
  

  

• Check the I Agree checkbox and Click on Next button
• If No proximity reader is connected to the Wyse device, In the installer wizard, Click on Next button
• If Proximity Card reader is connected to the Wyse device, In the installer wizard, Check the Install Proximity Card checkbox & Card Type to 'COM1' and Click on Next button
  

  

• Now In the Workstation installer wizard, Type in valid URL in Server URL E.g. 192.168.1.1 and Click on Test button
  

  

• Now Connection Test Popup screen is displayed with the message "Connection Test Succeeded" and Click on OK

  

• Now In the Workstation installer wizard Click on Next button
• Now in the Shortcut installer wizard Click on Next button
  

  

• And in the Final installer screen, Click on OK to complete the installation.
  

  

• And finally locked down desktop appears on the Wyse device.
