Just downloaded the Best Practices for Implementing and Managing SVS presentation, this Powerpoint helps to understand the general concepts about SVS implementation.
If there are available others presentations it will be really well accepted.

Man I wish I could be there.
I am outside the US on a small Island. We have a small users group here and we are wrestling with the same issue "SVS implemetation".
We use ds 6.8.
In the pc properties you can see the svs version so it really got many guys extra motivated and interested in SVS. We have had a lot of fun using it and deploying the solution. The learning curve of layers and editing layers was very quick and most of us embrace the flexibility it gives us. We have not done away with orca yet but I am sure that will be around for a long time.
