The KB migration process has been noted to fail when prerequisites are not met. These are the prerequisites that must be met for the KB migration to occur:
1. The Articles folder from the Helpdesk server must be copies to the ServiceDesk server.
2. The location this folder must be copied to must follow this format:
C:\Libraries\another directory\Articles
Note: You must create a directory called Libraries at the root of the C drive. In there, you must create another directory where you will copy the Articles folder to. If this directory structure is not followed, your migration will fail.
3. You must grant the Network Service account access to the directory.
Please note that KB migration typically takes several hours. An average-sized KB with a couple thousand articles took around 8 hours in testing.
There is no progress indicator for the KB migration process. You may look in the Workflow Log Viewer to verify the process is running, however. Unless you receive an error indicating the process has failed, you should assume that it is running and allow several hours for it to complete.
I have the following error, when Im trying to migrate from 6.X to 7.1

Also keep in mind, there are several issues with migrating specific KB articles.
This includes, KBs that are simply published files, such as a .DOC, .XLS, etc.
There is also a KB that covers issues with importing specific types of KBs. Such as Question/Answer style KBs, we still had to use this hotfixed workflow to be able to import our 6.x KBs into 7.1
