RTV Scan - CPU Usage
Updated: 31 Aug 2009 | 2 comments
Most of us will be aware of this
RTV Scan is the scanning process of SAV and SEP.
It is responsible for all kinds of scan (Real time, Scheduled, etc)
When RTV Scan is at 100% or if its CPU usage is high there are ways to find out whether it is because of Real time scan or not.
You can find the all other scans’ info in scan histories except Real time scan.
Real Time Scan gets triggered when a file is accessed or modified and when a file back up is performed (default).
To find out whether the issue is because of real time scan, you can follow the below mentioned procedure
SAV
Step 1 – Open Symantec Antivirus
Step 2 – Click View
Step 3 – Click Auto-Protect Scan Statistics.
SEP
Step 1 – Open SEP Client
Step 2 – Click Options
Step 3 – Click Auto-Protect Scan Statistics.
We can find out the files which are scanned.
Hope you find this is useful.
Cheers
