This component is used to set the status of an asset in the SMP.
The inputs for this component are on the Configuration tab.
"varasset" should be the "AltirisOutput7.Asset" data type. This input should be introduced upstream and can be created by using a mapping component, or by using a component such as the "Get Asset By Ids Component" or the "Get Resource for SMP" component configured to use the "Asset" resource type.
"varstatus" should be the "AltirisOutput7.FixedAssetStatusResourceType" data type. This input should be introduced upstream and can be created by using a mapping component, or by using a component such as the "Get Status for Asset Component" or the "Get Resource for SMP" component configured to use the "FixedAssetStatusResourceType" resource type.
There is no output from this component.
The SMP connection information for this component is also configured on the General tab. By default, this component populates these 3 fields with the global SMP connection values. These default values must be initialized upstream with a "Create SMP Credentials" component if the global values are to be used.
There are no additional settings for this component.

A technician portal has been created to allow a tech to change the status on an asset in the SMP. This component can be used to set the new status after a technician selects the status and submits.
