The demands of “always-on” business are placing new pressure on IT to keep pace, while at the same time, dealing with the reality of shrinking budgets. As a result, many businesses are rapidly evaluating the use of cloud to deliver infrastructure, platforms, and even software as a service in order to increase agility and, ideally, cut costs. Cloud and virtualization change the way we think about application design and delivery, yet a focus on resilience – availability, security, data protection, and recoverability – should not change. In this presentation, we will discuss how the cloud is an important enabler for resiliency, but not an answer on its own. We will review a new era of resiliency solutions and how these solutions complement and strengthen an organizations overall resilience and risk management approach.
