SSIM Client Console Installation Procedure

SSIM Client Installation                                            

1. Open a Web browser, and in the address bar, type the IP address of the appliance. By default, this address uses the syntax https://<IP-address>, where <IP-address> represents the IP address of your appliance. For example: https://192.168.0.10

1. On the Security Information Manager page, click Download Client.

1. When prompted, click Run, and then follow the prompts to install the console.

Below are the Screen Shot for the same:

• Click on Download Client

• Save the .exe file to the HDD and double click it.

• Click Next

• Accept the terms and conditions and click Next

• Specify the Installation path and click on Next

• Select the default settings and click on Next

 

• Click on Install to go ahead of the installation.

• Click on Done after the installation is complete.

Accessing the appliance through Management Console (SSIM Client)           

To access the appliance through SSIM Client, please do the following:

• Navigate to Start-Programs-Symantec Security Information Manager- SSIM Client.
• Fill in the required credentials and click on Submit.

•  This popup is of Certificate information. Click on Accept.

 That’s it, now you are ready to use the SSIM Client console from your machine.
