Definition of component input value or values
The "Input Variable Name" field is the variable you want to attempt to convert into a uniqueidentifier datatype.
Definition of component output value or values
The "Output Variable Name" field is the variable resulting from a successful conversion from the input value to a Guid.
Two output paths result from this component, one for "value is a guid" upon successful conversion, and "value is not a guid" in the case that the component is unable to convert the input value into a uniqueidentifier.

Use case
If you have a Guid that is in a text data format, but a component or service requires that the value be in a uniqueidentifier data type, you can use this component to quickly make the conversion from one type to the other.
