Any installation videos of a Multi-Node environment?
Not yet. However, we are working towards a series for a future release.
What kind of info are you looking for in multi-node environment? If it's simple, may be a sequence of steps could help you.
We are trying to get our streaming 6.1 SP8 servers off the ground in a multi-node environment. The admin guide is very confusing. Do you have some steps that would help us get it up and running.
We have the Backend installed
I have installed one Front-end server
In the console we have setup the front end in the default server group.
I am not sure if we licensed the FE server properly. I have two license files one is STS and one is PS. Which do I use?
When I look at the FE server is has a yellow on the activity lite where the BE has a green. I look at the license info for the FE and it really doesn't show much information. *** I was able to finally get both to go green on status, I had to turn off the firewall on the Console box.
Is there some step by step guide to setting up the multi-node environment?
Any help appreciated.
Ken

To answer couple of questions:
> I am not sure if we licensed the FE server properly. I have two license files one is STS and one is PS. Which do I use?
You should use the "STS" license, which is an acronym for "STreaming Server". If you are curious "PS" stands for "Packaging Studio" previous name for Symantec Virtual Composer.

I believe there is a quick start guide, which should help a bit.
If there are specific questions, feel free to post them and we should be able to answer them.
you guys are good with the articles
Hi all,
I have installed Symantec Workspace Virtualization Admin and Wise Virtual Composer and now I am able to do the Virtualizations of any software.
Now I have some questions?
Thanks & Regards,
Nagesh Singh
The CMS 7.1 has the Software Virtualization plugin that snaps into the Symantec Management Agent. This allows you to distribute software packages, either msi or virtualized packages to the endpoint, through the software catalog. Where the SEV Solution, which includes the Streaming and the Compose, enable you to distribute virutalized packages through the Streaming Server. You can setup a TTL on the vitrualized package that if the package is not used, the package will be disabled and the license would return to the Streaming Server.
