Upgrade DLP into the Latest Version - Graphical Steps
Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) provide upgrade packages for each main release in a jar pack format. The customers can download the upgrader from FileConnect and upgrade their DLP into the latest version.
There are three main steps for the upgrade:

In the example below, we installed DLP 11.1, and need to upgrade into DLP 11.1.2.
Here are the graphical steps for the upgrade process:
1. Download the upgrader from FileConnect. The upgrader package should be named as: Symantec_DLP_11.1.2_ReleaseUpdate_Win-IN.zip. There is a jar pack inside, should be named as: 11.1.2_Upgrader_Windows.jar
2. Login to DLP Enforce Console, select 'System' --> 'Servers' --> 'Overview', click 'Upgrade' button:
3. Click 'Browse' button:
4. Select the upgrade jar package download from FileConnect:

14. Click 'Next' button to start to upgrade the Enforce Server:

Yes.
As a general rule, possible upgrades are from major release X to minor release X.Y or from major release X to the following major release Z.
For example:
10.5.x > 11.0 > 11.1
11.1.2 > 11.5
11.0 > 11.5
It is not possible to skip a major release, that is, you cannot upgrade from 10.5 to 11.5 or from 9.0 to 11.0. The upgrade path must include each major release, consecutively. If a client attempts to upgrade outside this path, they will be left with a corrupted database and a non-functioning install.
Hi;
I applied the steps with upgrade oracle And its works perfectly.
But there is a issue If you have SEP installed on Enforcer server and Tamper Protection Enabled its block updateframework_windows_1_0.exe and its not start the upgrade. After make exeption and start that file manually its continue witout any error.
