Virus Definition Distribution table missing on the "Home tab" of Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager

> Question/Issue:

Why i cannot see anything in the virus definition distribution table in Home tab Symantec Endpoint Protection manager?

> Symptoms:
In SEPM home tab Virus definition distribution table is blank and if you try clicking there it will open a reporting window with no information. In Monitors -Logs if you try to pull computers status report with Default filters nothing is reported, but if you select Advanced and specify group you can see all the details.
Also while viewing the clients tab in SEPM and Selecting client view status as Protection technologies you can see the Virus Definition Revision. So it means that information is in Database but due to some permission issue SEPM is unable to show the report.

> Cause:
There can be many reasons for the issue but first of all after checking the things above look for basic IIS permissions not set right.
The best way to check the IIS permissions is to use IIS Diag also called as Auth Diag tool. You can download this Microsoft tool and then install on the server and then check .

After running this utility I found that the Iusr account was not having the permission to " ACCESS THIS COMPUTER OVER THE NETWORK "

.So I Added the USr account over there in the group policy
Now to Add IUSR and IIS user accounts you need to modify the group policy if it is a domain environment and add the user accounts .

To do that go to Start > Run > Gpedit.msc > Open windows settings > Security settings > Local policy > User right assignment under Access this computer over the network add the IUSR account.

After adding these IIS users you can again run the IIS Diag tool and this time there are no errors.

And My issue was resolved.

If this is not resolving your problem then it means there is some corruption in database & I have talked to the Symantec Support & this issue will be taken care in MR5 version most probably :)
